TitleMemorial of Nathan Gray, of March, and William Searle, of Cambridge
DescriptionThe memorialists are the proprietors of "The Three Tuns" at Salter's Lode and "The Chequers" at Denver Sluice. Nathan Gray lately made an agreement with the Eau Brink Commissioners to pull down [The Chequers] and to sell the land, to improve Denver Sluice. They have since heard that the Corporation have let a small parcel of land near Salter's Lode Sluice to Mr Hopkins, of St Ives, upon which a [public] house is to be erected for the sale of beer. They represent that they ought to have been allowed to compete with Mr Hopkins, and that William Searle should have received a favourable consideration. Two signatories.
