TitlePetition of Certain Commissioners for Draining Fen Land in Downham Market, Wimbotsham, Stow Bardolph and Denver
DescriptionThe petitioners were granted permission in [September] 1833 to cut a temporary [drain] through the bank of Tong's Drain (see Ref S/B/SP1494). They report that they cannot afford the annual payment of £40 to keep the [drain] open, and ask for it to be reduced to £10 a year. Fourteen signatories.
