TitlePetition of the Inhabitants of Haddenham, Wilburton, Sutton and Stretham
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that an order was made in April 1727 to lay out £40 towards the cost of repairing the north bank of the River Ouse between the Hermitage and Stretham Common and scouring a drain between Sutton Ditch and Aldreth High Bridge. They have also advanced £80 towards the cost of the repairs. They report that the banks and drains are very defective, and ask for a further sum of money to be granted. Fifteen signatories.
