DescriptionTwenty three volumes, recording the lease and mortgage of Adventurers' lands in the Bedford Level between 1657 and 1815. They primarily contains copies of indentures of lease and mortgages by demise, but also contain assignments of mortgages and awards.

These leases, mortgages and assignments are not entered in chronological order, but rather by the date that they were registered with the Bedford Level Corporation. Each volume contains an alphabetical index of the leases and mortgages and registered within, but there is also separate index to this series (R59/31/2/A*).
