DescriptionHandwritten copy of Cornelius Vermuyden's report, which he prepared as guidance for Charles I in 1638. It contains a review of the drainage of the Great Level of the Fens, together with Vermuyden's proposed scheme to improve it. This copy does not include a plan of Vermuyden's proposed scheme, which was included with the printed pamphlet of this report.
