DescriptionComprises copies of operational instructions issued by the Ministry of War Transport on the maintenance of roads and bridges in the Eastern Command area in the event of invasion, emergency bridging organisation with a subsequent amendment, general instructions for RE officers detailed as liaison officers with civil authorities, restoration of road communications during military operations, storeyard disposal of toole for ARP working parties, minutes of a conference held on 19 Sep 1941, restoration of communications after damage through hostile attack, 2 corps operation instrctions no 28, and duties of liasion officers, and two plans showing locations of houses within the field of fire of aerodrome defence posts and perimeter defence posts where inhabitants have been warned they may be required to evacuate and a plan showing the main access routes through the town.
