DescriptionThis series consists of case papers heard in Petty Sessions against individuals offending under the Cambridge Improvement Acts.

Cases were brought by the clerk to the Commissioners on the evidence of district collectors, (Steven Fulcher, William Bridges, George Favell, James Doo, JS Youngman and Sexton) for non payment of improvement rates, and the Inspectors of Nusiances (John William Mayne, Thomas Crowhill, Henry Philips, and Thomas Howlett) for offenses against bye-laws or activities causing a risk to public health.
