DescriptionThis material relates to legal action taken against King's College for a public nuisance in blocking Kings Lane in 1831. This case not resolved until 1871when the Commissioners gave up the right of public access to Kings Lane. The series consists of cases for the opinion of counsel, notices for the removal of nuisances, indictment against Kings College, correspondence, case papers, plans of King's College and Catherine Hall and college property abutting onto Trumpington Street, draft Improvement Commissioners minutes and reports.
