TitleCollector's monthly statement
DescriptionThis printed book balances the rate-payers account with the collector and the collector's account with the overseers. The account between the rate-payers and the collectors consist of: recoverable arrears taken from the last statement; the amount of rate collected since the previous months statement; any amount legally excused, irrecoverable or allowed to the owner; and the amount of unpaid rate which will be recoverable. The collector's account with the overseers consists of: the balance in the hands of the collector at the end of the last month; the amount of rate collected since; any sums other than rates collected; the amount deposited with the overseers or their bankers, treasurers of other authority as directed; and any balance remaining in the collectors hands. Each month the statement is signed by the collector.
