Description | 1. Thomas Holled for the Earl of Denbigh and others. 2. Thomas Broughton, Steeple Gidding, farmer and grazier. 1. lets to 2. Messuage etc. with several closes = 161½ acres, now in occupation of 2., and close of 4 acres, now in occupation of Everett Peen. For 12 years from 5 April next. For £150.8s. 2. not to pay the tythes. 1/3 may be ploughed, i.e. not more than 40 acres of arable land. 2. shall quit the Great House and Rd. Meadow on being paid £1. an acre for the same by any future landlord. Landlord to take down and rebuild more compactly the old kitchen, which now stands on props. To convert the stable and build a Cow Lodge - 20 yards long. Agreement to be reduced into proper articles within 3 months. Other conditions as usual. |
