Edward Coke, Mileham, Nfk., gent.; 1. to 2. for £1,270 Manor of Pitseyhall als. Pitsey, als. Pitchesey als. Pillesey/Pitthesey, with all apps. in Essex late parcel of the lands of the Lady May, late Queen of England for her maintenance before she was Queen and since part of the possessions of the late Duke of Nfk., father of said Earle. And annual rent of assize of £9.10.11½ from freeholders and copyholders to 1., and all the capital messuage of the said Manor. And all the land within the compass of the same site and all demesne lands belonging to said capital messuage. And all cattle, utensils and live and dead stock thereof late in occup. of Edward Beeton and Robert Pake. And all property and interest of 1. in the same. And all the portion of the tythes of Chaldenhall within the town of Pitsey. Advowson of the church of Pitsey. And all lands etc. of 1. on Pitsey or elsewhere in Essex belonging to said Manor. With all relevant writings. Except one tenement called Hollyfield and the 3 marshes in Caubey with the first crop of 5½ acres of meadow in Hollyfield now in tenures of Henry Appleton Esq., and - Eliot, gent. One moiety to 2. for ever. One moiety to 3. for ever. Memo. that on 31 Mar. 1581 this deed was ackd. in Chancery and enrolled on 24 July, 1581. Deed examined on 26 June, 1648.
