Description(1) The Hon. Mountagu North, London, Esq. (2) William Massey, Harborough, Leics., gent. (3) John Lewis, citizen and grocer, London. Recites: (1) Demise of 30 Dec. 1679 from Dean and Chapter of Westminster to James Ravenscroft, Inner Temple, London, Esq. since decd. of rectory of Alc. Hunts., with all apps. and Advowson of Alc. for lives of John Ravenscroft, son of James, and John Nicholls, Ridge, Herts, yeoman aged c.20 years and of George Naylor, son of Francis, of the Six Clerks Office, c.10 years old for £24 p.a. which said Rectory did afterwards come to (2) for the said lives. (ii) Mortgage of 25 June, 1703, from (2) to (1) for £4,000 of said Rectory and premises previously demised and messuage called The Swan and croft of 1a. adjoining in Weston, And all other lands late the inheritance of James Ravenscroft in Alc. and W. and other lands in Northants. (iii) Interest has been paid and principal is still owing. (iv) (3), having lately agreed with (2) for purchase of said premises for £4,752.6s., £4,000 to (1) and £752.6s. to (2). Now for said sums from (3) to (1) and (2). (1) and (2) to (3). All said premises. Rectory etc. to use of (3) for the lives of the said John Ravenscroft and John Nicholls and George Nailer and the longer liver of them. Rest of premises to use of (3) and heirs for ever. Free from all claims and dowers, especially that of Hephzibah, now the wife of (2). And except covenants in original lease and except lease of 6 Aug. 1700 demise from Ravenscroft to King for 15 years for £163.10s. and two fat capons. And demise of 20 April, 1701 from Ravenscroft to Jonathon Brotherton, yeoman, for 12 years at at £68.10s. p.a. And demise of 1 June, 1701 from Ravenscroft to Thomas Stacy, yeoman for 11 years at £61. 10s. p.a. And except demise of 3 April, 1700 from Ravenscroft to Francis Middleton, yeoman, for 7 years at £6. p.a., which said rents shall become payable to (3) Any necessary deeds of further assurance to be done within next 10 years. Endorsed: Receipts of even date from (1) and (2) to (3).
