| Title | Letter T. White to Sir John Heathcote, at Normanton. |
| Description | Bertie affair finished at length, so far as it can be. Purchase money paid, i.e. £2,000 to each of Mr. Bertie's bros. who are of age, and £2,000 invested in Dr. Wilmot's name and White's for Montague Bertie's portion and a proper deed to secure H. from any further demand on that head. The residue paid to Mr. Bertie and conveyances and discharges executed. Mead's affair only remains to be done at Mr. Bertie's expense. White would have brought the deeds to Normanton but is called to Nottingham to serve a wicked and ungrateful people. No good news in town. |
