Description1. George Herbert of Benwick in the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, clerk, and Susanna his wife, only daughter of Gideon Behage late of Benwick, yeoman, deceased, by Mary his first wife, Peter Behage of Benwick, victualler, son and heir of the above Gideon Behage by Anne, his second wife, and Thomas Burgess of Benwick, gentleman. 2. John Burges of Benwick, gentleman. 1’s Stocken Fen Lot (3a 3r), next to the lot of the heirs of Charles Hammond on the south part and the Little Drove on the north part, now in the possession of William Lambert; their Muchwood Lot (1a 1r), next to the lot of Henry Poulter on the east and abutting upon Bodsey Hedge on the north part, now in the occupation of Jonathan Weston; their Hollow Lot (6a), next to the lot late Robert Clark’s on the east part and abutting on the Forty Foot Drove on the north part; their Broadalls Lot (3a), lying between the lots of John Ibbotson on the south part and the lot of Thomas Gray on the north part, now in the occupation of the above John Ibbotson; their Loadsend Lot (8a), next to the lot of William Beard on the west and abutting on the River Nene on the south, in the occupation of William Lambert; and their lot of fen ground called the Turfe Croft (4a) lying in the Turfe Fen; all of which lots are within the parish and Manor of Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, and fell by lottery upon the division and inclosing of the Fens in right of an ancient customary commonable messuage in the High Street in Ramsey between the messuage of Dingly Askham, gentleman, on the west part. (The release to 2 which should accompany this lease is missing.)
