| Description | The Majority of the Arbitrators were John Westwood, John Compton and William Squire.  The dissenting Arbitrators were Mr. Pyewell and Mr. Hogard.  The case concerned the state of the water at Brampton Sluice and the 2 openings of Portholme Brook at Milking Corner.  The Arbitrators determined that 2 substantial dams should be set up at Milking Corner by the agents to the Proprietors of the Navigation. The cost of erecting them to be met by the Corporation, and the cost of keeping them in repair to be met by the Proprietors of the Navigation. |
