Title | Letter. G.F. Maule, Brampton, to 7th Earl of Sandwich. |
Description | Reporting the death of an otter. It is a very fine specimen and is to be stuffed. Has given notice to the overseers of St. Mary's [Huntingdon] and to the Collector of Taxes of the Earl's intention of shutting up the House. There is some question as to whether or not it will be exempt from rates and taxes as the gardens, stables and laundries will still be occupied. Mr. D. Veasey has been about "The Views", and the conveyance of it is now signed. |
