TitleLetter; T. Wright Vaughan, Knightsbridge, to 7th Earl of Sandwich.
DescriptionSends a letter from the son of Lady Perrott, who is the daughter of the late Col. Bayly of the West Middlesex Regiment. Does not yet know whether the appointment this man asks for his brother will be required by Huntingdon Corps, but if it is required, he may be a very proper person. Thinks that, under the general Militia Act, there can be no doubt that the numbers demand 2 companies for Huntingdon, each with a Captain, Lieutenant and Ensign, and that these companies are liable to be attached to a Battalion of Militia. Asks: "what sort of figure should the Company cut that was attached without a Captain?"
