TitleLetter; J.G. Green, Head Quarters, Huntingdon, to 7th Earl of Sandwich.
DescriptionCannot understand the meaning of a letter from the Ordnance, since all the empty arms' chests and cases were sent back to the Tower. Recruiting of Volunteers goes on well. There are now 52 men. Ebenezer Stapleton has brought up a Volunteer as good as himself and has also paid back all the monies he received. Asks, the Earl, therefore, to grant Stapleton a discharge. Lawson has not yet appeared, but is expected daily. In any application for arms, serjeants' accoutrements should be sought.
