DescriptionDeals with his request to be recommended for a kinghthood. Believes that the post of Exon in the Yeoman of the Guard has been considerably advanced in consequence of its holders being knighted whilst that of Standard Bearer in Her Majesty's Guard of Gentlemen at Arms has been proportionately affected in a reverse degree. Believes that this will also reflect badly upon the Corps of Gentlemen at Arms generally. Appeals, therefore to the Earl's zeal for the welfare of the Corps which he now commands.
