| Description | She has had a conversation with Mandeville and hopes not that there will be a more comfortable intercourse between them. She encloses a copy of the note she gave him and which he has signed. The note asserts their willingness to look to the future and forgive the past.
Postscript notes that this was signed by Lord Mandeville, as he was then, in Frances, suggesting that this copy was made sometimes after his accession to the Dukedom in 1855. |
