Title | Copy letter to Countess de Salis, from B.C. Williams, Lincolns Inn Fields |
Description | Due to lack of response to a previous letter, Williams thought the Count had "given up all thoughts of continuing Tenant of Tandragee." Williams mentions that he has communciated Countess de Salis' new proposals to Lady Olivia Sparrow and informs her that they have been declined but suggests "letting the place to the Count from year to year reducing the rent to £300 annually." He further states that 12 months notice in writing must be given in order to end the tenancy and that Miss Sparrow does not want the house enlarged as proposed, believing it to be "sufficiently extensive." Williams also resolves a debate between Lady Olivia Sparrow and Countess de Salis regarding the payment of £600 upon the expiration of the tenancy. |
