Reciting the marriage of the late William Duke of Manchester to Lady Isabella Montagu and her marriage portion of £25,000, vested in Scroop Duke Bridgewater, the Earl of Sunderland and Francis Earl of Godolphin as trustees. Also reciting the will of William Duke of Manchester (1737) and his directions for the investment of the £25,000 marriage portion of Duchess Isabella, if they should fail to produce an heir. At the time of the Duke's death in 1739 this money was invested as mortgages for properties in Norfolk, York and Northumberland, all which have been assigned to (i) as trustees, by the Duke's surviving executors Francis Earl Godolphin and Scroop Duke of Bridgwater. Reciting also the purchase of the annuity of £100 on the Bigrams estate in Kimbolton and Stow by (i).
Conveyed by (i) to (ii) in trust for (ii) and the heirs male.
