| Description | Of the Uses of a Surrender. Reciting that John Peacock the elder of Ramsey, oyleman, has surrendered the lands in R5/6/19 to uses yet to be decalred and that by his Marriage Settlement with his now wife, then Margaret Nottingham, widow and executrix of Emanuell Nottingham of Ramsey, he agrees to give real securuity for the payment of the legacies bequeathed to Samuell and Mary, the son and daughter of Emanuell Nottingham, by the will of their late aunt, Judith Wills of Ramsey, widow, Peacock now agrees with William Peacock the younger of Huntingdon, gent, and John Peacock the younger, draper, and John Poulter, grocer, both of Ramsey, that the lands are surrendered to the use of Peacock and his assigns for life and then to his wife, Margaret, and her heirs for ever, provided that she pays the above legacies. |
