| Description | Of the will (1770) and codicil (1771) of Edmonds. Among other things, to his niece, Martha Edmonds of St. Ives, for her life, an annuity of £10 issuing out of all the copyhold lands in R8/1/4, except Ellens Close. To his nephew, John Edmonds of St. Ives, cordwainer, all the lands in R8/1/4, but subject to the payment of the above annuity. To his son-in-law, John Berry, for life, and then to his nephew, John Edmonds, the messuage in Upwood where he Thomas Edmonds, now lives, the close of pasture adjoining the parcel of meadow in Upwood (2 ac) purchased of Thomas Thompson, and the parcel of arable and ley in Upwood (9 roods) purchased of William Deazy. |
