| Description | A large gathering outside the entrance to Gaynes Hall,  the home of the Duberley family.  The house has been decorated for the return of Major Grey William  Duberley from the Boer War in 1902.  He was pulled in a coach  from the railway station by his welcoming tenants and estate workers, escorted by members of the local Hunt and the mounted Militia.  Gaynes Hall is bedecked  with flags,  a "Home Sweet Home" banner and a photograph of King Edward VII above the front door. |
