Description | A view of Castle Hill House gardens, with the gardeners at work with a lawnmower and a horse and cart. The house was at this time occupied by The Venerable Francis Gerald Veasey, Archdeacon of Huntingdon and Chaplain of St John the Evangelist. "Veasey's Garden" is scratched on the glass plate and the Maddison & Hinde order book reveals order 1660 was of Veasey's garden. |
