DescriptionThe files were labelled 'Industries' but their content is much wider reflecting the General Manager's responsibility for the estate as well as the Industries. Files of internal memoranda cover matters such as the management of the various departments (carpentry, cabinet, furniture, trunk making, printing and agricultural occupations), personnel, complaints from customers, finances and supplies for the Industries, Hospital and Village settlement buildings (such as the Village Hall, stores, domestic houses). Papers also included in the files are catalogues from suppliers, copies of correspondence. The files marked with an asterisk * were received in good order in transfer cases.
