Mr Quine, Secretary for Interdepartmental Committee on the Rehabilitation of Persons Injured by Accidents, Ministry of Heath, enclosing précis of evidence given by Varrier-Jones and Reynell Wreford to the committee arising from a letter published in The Times (1936) by the late Lord Allenby, and another from Geoffrey Peto referring to the development of the Enham (Hants.) Village Centre to enable it to provide rehabilitation and employment for disabled civilians. [As a result of a request to the Village Centres Council for further information, Mr Wreford forwarded a memorandum prepared by Sir Pendrill Varrier-Jones and himself for this Committeee. Mr Wreford was asked if Sir Pendrill and he wished to add any further notes to bring the material up-to-date for presentation to the Committee. The letter of 16 September 1937, enclosing a second memorandum was received in reply.]'
