TitleStorey's Hospital [Almshouses], Cambridge
DescriptionThese almshouses were founded soon after 1729 under the will of Edward Storey and consisted of three houses in Northampton Street Cambridge for four clergy widows, with other houses in the adjacent Rowley's Yard for two widows and four spinsters. The charity was well endowed and increased by later legacies, though by 1959 much of the property had been sold (VCH, Vol. III, p. 146).
