Edward and his brother Dr Matthew John Tierney married two sisters Anna Maria and Harriet Mary Jones, daughters of Henry Jones of Bloomsbury. Dr Matthew John Tierney was physician to the Prince Regent (later George IV) and William IV and was made a baronet in 1818. One document (509/4/106/2/1) concerns the marriage settlement in 1808 of Dr Matthew John Tierney and Harriet Mary Jones (Thomas Mortlock as trustee).
