DescriptionLetter from John Pledger (son of Elizabeth Pledger) and his wife Frances saying that John works as a postboy at the Falcon Inn in Waltham Cross and that times are hard due to the railways, and asking if he could have £10 of the money which his mother left in the hands of Messrs Mortlock, 6 April 1842. With copy reply that the money is solely for Elizabeth Pledger's grandchildren and cannot be given to her son.
Folded inside: letter from Frances Pledger of Waltham Cross saying that her son William will soon come of age, 26 May 1843. With copy reply asking William to go to Cambridge to receive his money.
