TitleEversden, Little; Old Farm
Description[Great and Little Eversden lie six miles south-west of Cambridge, between the Bourn brook on the north and the ancient ridgeway, the Mare Way. (VCH, Vol. V, p. 59)]
The five bundles comprised a composite bundle, probably original, of papers relating to Old Farm in Little Eversden, possibly bought in 1827 by Thomas Mortlock after the bankruptcy of Thomas Day Finch, who was the uncle of Frederick Cheetham Mortlock's wife Sarah. The documents include sale particulars of 1827, together with a map of fields; various tax/rate vouchers; cancelled cheques and tradesmen's receipts. Note that the original (non-chronological) order has been preserved in listing these documents. Note also that a few documents relating to the Abingtons and Pampisford are contained in this bundle.
