DescriptionEdward Hayward had left his good debts, due from John Bennet amounting to £1037, equally to his two sons, Edward and John Hayward and his son-in-law Samuel Ward, husband of his daughter Susan Hayward. Will dated 1702 proved by Edward Hayward, son of testator. Samuel Ward accepts £250 as his third share in consideration of the fact that Edward Hayward has born the expenses of 'tedious and expensive Suits and Contests in the high Court of Chancery between the Creditors of the said John Bennett and his heirs at Law...'
