TitleBoundary dispute with Hildersham
DescriptionDocuments relating to the Great Abington/Hildersham boundary dispute. In 1800 John Mortlock had bought the Hildersham Estate, part of whose western limits were contiguous, along an S-shaped boundary with land in Great Abington also owned by John Mortlock. At the inclosure of Great Abington, the Commissioners proposed straightening the boundary by adjusting the two parcels of land contained within the curves of the S. Some time after Mortlock sold the Hildersham Estate in 1810 there was a dispute over the legality of this transaction.
