Thomas Mortlock with approval of Frederick Cheetham Mortlock to William Scruby of Pampisford, gentleman. Annual rent £570 for 4 years, then £580. Agricultural arrangements, etc., set out.

a) Memorandum of agreement to let Pampisford lands by John Mortlock to William Scruby, 24 February 1814;
b) Agreement signed by Thomas Mortlock and John Cheetham Mortlock that the rent in lease to William Scruby is to be paid yearly on Lady Day rather than half-yearly, 22 October 1817;
c) Note from Thomas Scruby about fences and improving the road, 24 February 1826;
d) Letter from Revd Charles Mules of Marwood, Barnstaple, non-resident Rector of Pampisford, to Thomas Mortlock, about Mr Scruby's intention to quit his land in Pampisford, thinking the rent too high, 24 December 1827, with copy reply stating that the sons of the late Mr Scruby will continue tenants at the rent hitherto paid and that the Vicarage house is 'exceedingly in want of some immediate repair', 4 January 1828.
