Description1. Sir John Cheetham Mortlock and Dame Mary Mortlock his wife, Revd John Kaye, master of Christ's College and wife Eliza [daughter of John Mortlock], Henry Mortlock of Madras in the East Indies, now residing in Cambridge, Mary Ann Mortlock of Cambridge, William Mortlock of the same, Charles Mortlock and Edmund Mortlock (these crossed out) 2. Thomas Mortlock of Cambridge, Frederick Cheetham Mortlock of the same. 3. John William Howard of, Queen Square, Bloomsbury, Middlesex, gentleman. Recitals: 1776 John Mortlock's marriage settlement, whereby Pampisford estate was conveyed in trust to Revd John Davy and Revd William Walford to raise £3,000 for any children (see 509/6/6/2/10); 1801 Pampisford inclosure award; 1816 will of John Mortlock, making his 9 children all tenants in common tail to Pampisford estate, remainders to John Cheetham Mortlock, his eldest son and heir. The children agreed to convey the estate to their brothers Thomas and Frederick, in trust for Thomas. With a note by Lewis Duval, solicitor, that Charles and Edmund Mortlock, being out of the country, would suffer recoveries of their shares when they returned to England. (Cover torn)
