DescriptionIncluding copies of early charters of Thorney Abbey (cf C.R. Hart, 'The Early Charters of Eastern England) by Sir Robert Cotton. Cotton's name is written in his own hand on the front page, and also his coat of arms, with explanation of components. On the back page is written in the same hand: 'Elizabeth Brocas (with broch); O that I myt go and se that which I wolld and say coutle me'. (Lacks covers; badly damaged by damp).
