TitlePetition. Conservators of the Bedford Level, being Commissioners for the North Level appointed under 27 Geo. II, c.12, to the House of Commons.
DescriptionWhereas a Bill (a) is before Parliament to explain an Act of 13 Geo. III (b) and Beeston Long of London merchant lays claim to ownership of certain Sands in Tydd St Marys which had been drained by the said Conservators the works being completed in 1774 at a cost of £9339. Petition that the Conservators' case against the said claim may be presented by counsel Beeston Long having made no such claim until several years after the drainage works were completed and the recovery of the said Sands being wholly a result of the said drainage. 2 copies: (1) 31 signatures. (2) 20 signatures. Seal. (a) The Bill may be that which became 48 Geo. III c. 23. (b) 13 George III c. 60. Nd (after 1774). BRA 969.
