To 2. leased Howell Woods in Thurnscoe, Yorks for 21 yrs. and sold Channelforth and Howell Woods and allowes them to cut down 8a p.a. b). If cut 8a 2. pay 1. £44 p.a. at £5.10 per acre + keeping 2 hounds for 2. c). If 2. pulls down 7a, pays for 8a, then next year pays for 8a, pulls down 9a. d). Lordings or Blackbarkes above 40 yrs old to be left - woods to be cut down according to the custom of the country. e). 1. To dig and carry away coal, also liberty to hawk, hunt and shoot. f). 2. To remove cut wood before 1st Oct. ea. yr. and shall not burn any wood or brush to charcoal. g). Wood cut as close to ground as possible. h). 1. To pay all layes, tithes, taxes, assessments + fall rents on the woods.
