Description | John Nesbitt, London, to George Thornhill Esq. Hemingford, Hunts. Regrets claret of 1819 unsatisfactory so sending claret of 1815 vintage which had reserved for personal use. At £5 per dozen, also samples of 1822 claret which best available until 1825 vintage comes onto the market in three years and 2 bottles of old sherry. Willing to receive back the 3 dozen bottles of unsatisfactory claret, but warns that without a permit it is liable to be seized + horses, waggon etc. which attached to it. Account of £52.13.0 for wine sent. |
