DescriptionBundle of papers concerning the Old West River. Contains an estimate for scouring the Old West River between Hermitage Sluice and the River Cam; extracts from the River Cham or Grant, Cambridge Act 1702 and River Ouse, Huntingdonshire, Navigation Act 1719; a draft contract with Samuel Bower and Thomas Thatcher, for scouring out the Old West River and for erecting a new sluice at the Hermitage; instructions; a draft completion bond for £6,000; a notice to the Bedford Level Corporation to produce documents for the arbitration; an award of arbitration (see R59/31/box1/bundle5); minutes; resolutions and orders; notes and correspondence. Also contains minutes of three Merchants' Committee meetings in March 1825, and extracts from the Eau Brink Book for Rampton, [Little] Thetford, Stretham, Cottenham, Wilburton, Over, Willingham and Haddenham.
