TitleOctavo volume of rents, fines and notes, marked on cover 'B'
DescriptionManuscript book of notes, mainly details of rents due - person owing and reason - and fines; arranged by month with ts. calendars pasted in (some now detached). Many references to property in Yaxley and Huntingdon. On parchment cover states that "volume was produced" as part of legal case between the Earl of Carysfort and Michael Wells, Richard Ashby, Thomas Speechly etc c1820s, clearly added as part of later rebinding, although a crossed through note of same appears within volume. Item possibly owned by Sir Thomas Proby whose name appears on 80v. He was MP for Amersham 1660-85 (the time of the items entered) and later (to 1685) for Huntingdonshire and died in 1689.
