DescriptionBundle of miscellaneous papers. Contains a draft lease to Henry Morley, of a house on the Sixteen Foot Bank, a draft memorandum of agreement with William Finch, for the purchase of 46 acres of [Adventurers'] lands in Burnt Fen, an abstract of Love Owen's title to the grazing rights on the Hundred Foot Bank between Mepal Bridge and Branghill Close, and fishing rights in the Hundred Foot River between Mepal Bridge and Sutton Gravel; the premises of a lease assigned to a Mr Mitchell; a schedule of expired leases to be let in April 1751; particulars of a fishery to be let in April 1777; copies of orders about the petitions of William Ousden and Henry Redhead, and that new leases should be issued to John Plowman, Francis Dickins and Mr Page; notes and correspondence. Also contains [several of] Samuel Wells' personal papers, including a case as to the division of the late John Richards' estate, together with the opinions of John Bell; Samuel Well's account of the money paid out for Miss Mary Ann Farey; a draft mortgage by demise between Samuel Wells and Elizabeth Blunson for £195, secured on a premises in Stilton; and accounts of the monies received by Richard Farey's executors.
