Contains a case as to whether the Bedford Level Corporation can prevent owners and occupiers of lands in the [Ouse] Washes from cutting the Cradge Bank, together with the opinions of George Wilson; a further case as to the attendance of the Board, together with the opinions of Vicary Gibbs, Thomas Plumer, George Wilson and Charles Abbott; a case as to whether all owners of Adventurers' lands are part of the Commonality of the Corporation, together with the opinion of Vicary Gibbs, Thomas Plumer, George Wilson and Charles Abbott; a case as to whether the Corporation has the power to impose a haling toll on the [new] Cradge Bank, together with the opinions of Solicitor General Sir Nicholas Conyngham Tindal; a case as to the validity of a lease granted to Sir Thomas Hare, together with the opinion of Solicitor General Sir Nicholas Conyngham Tindal; a case as to whether the Corporation had entered into a binding contract with James Thornton (see R59/31/box4/bundle2), together with the opinions of Edward Jacob; a case as to whether it is necessary to enroll all judgements in the books deposited at the Fen Office, together with the opinions of Samuel Turner; a case as to the removal of the Fen Office from London; a draft case as to the mode of election of the members of the Board and the custody of the Corporation seal; a case as to whether a Mr Jackson can be made responsible for the breach of trust that has occurred when he appropriated Corporation property for his own benefit, together with the opinions of Henry Busk; notes and correspondence.
