Contains a case as to whether the Bedford Level Corporation was [legally] bound in a contract with James Thornton (see R59/31/box4/bundle2), together with the opinions of the Solicitor General Sir William Follett; a case as to whether the Corporation remains liable to repair Mepal Bridge, Pond's Bridge and the Forty Foot Bridge, together with the opinions of Robert Richards; a case as to the Corporation seal and whether the Fen Office ought to be removed to the country; a case as to the mode of election of Board members and the custody of the Corporation seal, together with the opinions of Harris Prendergast; a case as to whether the Corporation's tenants at Mildenhall Drove should be allowed to let their cattle stray onto the turnpike road, together with the opinions of Henry Manisty; a plan of Mildenhall Drove, notes and correspondence. Also contains "Report of the Special Committee of Finance" and the Superintendent's report about the repairs needed to "The Anchor" at Sutton Gault.
