TitleCorporation Orders
DescriptionThirty six volumes, containing the proceedings [minutes] of meetings in London. The Corporation usually met on a Thursday at the Fen Office in Middle Temple, London, and considered any business affecting the Bedford Level. Initially, they met weekly by adjournment, but the frequency of their meetings decreased over time. They observed the legal terms (Michaelmas, Hilary, Easter and Trinity), with breaks for feast days. In the event of an emergency (especially if Corporation funds need to be laid out), additional meetings could be arranged "by summons".

Until 1809, the Corporation also held their annual Whitsun meeting at the Fen Office, London, on the Wednesday of Whitsun week. During this meeting they elected the Board for the subsequent year, and heard any petitions and completed any business that had been referred from the annual April meeting at Ely.
