DescriptionThe petitioners report that they have raised £448:8s through subscriptions, allowing them to scour the River Nene between Stanground Sluice and Ashling's Sluice. They ask for an allowance of £10 per mile, so that they can extend the work as far as Turningtree Bridge in Whittlesey. They argue that this will provide tolerable navigation between Stanground Sluice and Salter's Lode Sluice. Seventy nine signatories.
