| Description | The petitioner was engaged as the Engineer to the Bedford Level Corporation in July 1824, at a salary of £250 a year. He represents that he has been asked to undertake works far beyond those expected, and that his present salary has barely even covered his travelling expenses to superintend the work appointed to his execution. He has since learnt that the Corporation may discontinue with his services at a yearly salary. He asks for his current situation to be continued, or for him to receive proper remuneration for his services each time his advice is required. One signatory |
