TitlePetition of William Fowler, of Witcham
DescriptionThe petitioner reports that the inhabitants of Witcham erected a sluice in the bank near Witcham Bridge about 20 years ago, to obtain water for their cattle. He and 9 other inhabitants entered into a bond for £500, to secure the bank and to make it good if the sluice was removed. He asks to be released from the bond, as the other 9 have since died. He also asks for the inhabitants to be made to put up new securities, or for permission to remove the sluice and to make good the bank. No signatory
