TitlePetition of Lady Christian Berkeley, together with her Tenants and the Inhabitants of Farcet, Stanground and Yaxley
DescriptionThe petitioners report that their lands have been too wet for tillage and pasture for several years, as the [Old] River Nene, the Thirty Foot Drain, the Forty Foot Drain, Bevill's Leam and Whittlesey Dike have not been cleansed and scoured out for many years. They ask for an enquiry to be made into their situation and for a speedy remedy to be effected. Twenty three signatories.
